If you are a '''party leader''' you can choose ''With Party'' to bring your party in together (up to '''3 members'''). Every member must meet the join requirements. Parties join in '''pairs''': your party waits until another party queues, then one party is placed on each side, on whichever side keeps the teams closest in size. A match will not begin until both teams have at least '''10 players'''. While the match is filling up, the server announces every 30 seconds how many more players are needed - just
@joinbg
to enter. | |||

Overview
Battlegrounds is a PvP game mode where players are placed into teams and compete head-to-head against another team.
The BG Information NPC upstairs in the Revenant Pub explains the objective and win condition of every Battleground mode in-game, and @bginfo shows what is running right now.
Notes:
- All classes in Battlegrounds are balanced. When you join you are placed on the team with fewer players of your class (Bards and Clowns count as one class), so both sides end up with a similar mix.
- There is no longer a clown limit or a clown reward bonus.
- Devotion and SPP work in Battlegrounds without requiring a party.
- Any GM disguise or fake name on your character is removed when you enter a Battleground.
Schedule
Battlegrounds run during scheduled Happy Hours and start automatically. Each Happy Hour lasts 1 hour. When one match ends, the next mode begins recruiting right away for as long as the Happy Hour lasts.
| Days | Start Times (Server Time / UTC) |
|---|---|
| Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 14:00, 20:00, and 00:00 |
The Happy Hour rotation picks one of these modes at random each round, never the same mode twice in a row: Death Match, Stone Control, Conquest, Krieger von Midgard, Rush, Slay the King and Eye of Storm. The remaining modes only run when started by a GM.
Joining Battlegrounds
To join you must be level 85 or above on a transcendent class. Join using:
@joinbg
There is a 60 second cooldown on @joinbg after joining, leaving, or being kicked.
Queue with Party
If you are a party leader you can choose With Party to bring your party in together (up to 3 members). Every member must meet the join requirements. Parties join in pairs: your party waits until another party queues, then one party is placed on each side, on whichever side keeps the teams closest in size. If no other party queues within 60 seconds, or the round is about to start, your members are queued solo so nobody takes a late-join penalty.
Auto-rejoin
@bgauto toggles auto-rejoin for your character. When it is on and you finished the previous round, you are entered into the next round automatically with the same eligibility checks as @joinbg. It skips you if you are dead, vending, in an instance, or already on a castle or Battleground map.
Minimum Players
A match will not begin until both teams have at least 10 players. While the match is filling up, the server announces every 30 seconds how many more players are needed - just @joinbg to enter.
- Once the minimum is reached, the round begins after a short countdown.
- If there aren't enough signups within 5 minutes, the match is cancelled and everyone who signed up receives 10 Bravery Coins for waiting. A fresh match begins recruiting; two cancelled matches in a row end the Happy Hour early.
Late Joining
Signups stay open at full rewards for 1 minute after the match fills. After that, @joinbg still lets you into the match at any point, but as a late joiner:
- You earn half the Bravery Coin rewards (rounded down).
- The match does not count toward your win/loss record.
AFK Policy
Idle players are warned after 45 seconds and automatically kicked after 90 seconds. This also applies while the match is filling up, so stay active while you wait. Team leaders can additionally report AFK members with @reportafk.

Carrying an objective (stone, flag, skull) pins your walking speed to a fixed unbuffed rate and blocks skills and items. In Stone Control the trailing team's carriers get a small speed boost for every 5 points they are behind.
Rewards
Every mode pays Bravery Coins:
| Result | Bravery Coins |
|---|---|
| Win | 5 |
| Loss or draw | 2 |
| Cancelled match (not enough players) | 10 to everyone signed up |
| Slay the King: killing blow on the enemy King | +1 bonus |
| Late joiner | half of the above, rounded down |
Staff can run bonus reward events that multiply these amounts; @bginfo shows when one is active.
In the case of Conquest, rewards scale with attacker progress: the winning side always earns the most, but Defenders lose a little for every objective they let fall. Every player receives at least 5 Bravery Coins.
| Match Result | Attacker Reward | Defender Reward |
