Overview

Battlegrounds is a PvP game mode where players are placed into teams and compete head-to-head against another team.

An NPC located upstairs in the Revenant Pub (re_pub01,91,76) can provide a brief overview of each available Battleground mode.

Notes:

  • All classes in Battlegrounds are balanced. Rewards for clowns are doubled and there is a limit of two clowns per team.
  • Devotion and SPP work in Battlegrounds without requiring a party.
  • You can queue as a party of 3 max. Restrictions for clowns still apply, and teams are balanced as best as possible prioritizing Clowns, then Profs then other classes.

Available Modes

  • Capture the Flag
  • Death Match
  • Stone Control
  • Double Inferno
  • Conquest
  • Rush
  • Flavius
  • Krieger von Midgard

The automatic rotation cycles through Death Match, Stone Control, Double Inferno, Conquest, Krieger von Midgard, and Rush (never the same mode twice in a row). The remaining modes only run when started by a GM.

Supplies

Battleground supplies are free and managed through the Supply Manager.

You can also manage supplies using the following commands:

@managebg
Opens a dialog to manage supply amounts, as well as restock or remove supplies.
@restockbg
Restocks your supplies instantly without opening a dialog.
@removebg
Removes your supplies instantly without opening a dialog.

Rewards

Bravery Coins can be exchanged for rewards at the Coin Exchanger in the Revenant Pub.

Available rewards include:

  • Enhanced GSBs
  • Costumes
  • Battleground Equipment
  • Medal of Honors
  • and more

In the case of Conquest, rewards scale with attacker progress: the winning side always earns the most, but Defenders lose a little for every objective they let fall. Every player receives at least 5 Bravery Coins.

Match Result Attacker Reward Defender Reward
Held: one or fewer Guardian Stones destroyed 5 Bravery Coins 12 Bravery Coins
Held: both Guardian Stones destroyed 6 Bravery Coins 11 Bravery Coins
Held: 2nd Fortress Gate destroyed 7 Bravery Coins 10 Bravery Coins
Held: 3rd Fortress Gate destroyed 8 Bravery Coins 9 Bravery Coins
Emperium destroyed (Attackers win) 12 Bravery Coins 5 Bravery Coins

Destroying an objective grants the Attackers 4 minutes on the round clock (the opening push has the full 6 minutes).

Joining Battlegrounds

Battlegrounds run during scheduled Happy Hours and start automatically. When one match ends, the next mode begins recruiting right away for as long as the Happy Hour lasts.

Day Time (Server Time / UTC)
Daily 12:00
Daily 20:00
Daily 00:00

To join you must be level 85 or above on a transcendent class. Join using:

@joinbg

If you are a party leader, you can choose 'Queue with Party' to have your party be placed on the same team (up to 3 players max).

Minimum Players

A match will not begin until both teams have at least 10 players. While the match is filling up, the server announces how many more players are needed - just @joinbg to enter.

  • Once the minimum is reached, the round begins after a short countdown.
  • If there aren't enough signups within 5 minutes, the match is cancelled and a fresh one begins recruiting. Two cancelled matches in a row end the Happy Hour early.

Late Joining

Signups stay open at full rewards for 1 minute after the match fills. After that, @joinbg still lets you into the match at any point, but as a late joiner:

  • You earn half the badge rewards (rounded down).
  • The match does not count toward your win/loss record.

AFK Policy

Idle players are warned after 45 seconds and automatically kicked after 90 seconds. This also applies while the match is filling up, so stay active while you wait. Team leaders can additionally report AFK members with @reportafk.
