Veins, Thor Volcano, and Jotunn's Dominion

  • You can now visit Thor Volcano - thor_v03 and thor_v04 are now Individual Loot Maps, so grab your friends and party up: everyone rolls their own drops.
    • Flying solo? thor_v05 is tailored to well-geared solo players.
  • Dr. Ignar Thorne is available just outside Thor Volcano to craft Typhoon gears.
  • Added Thor Volcano cards to OCA (Byorgue, Sword Guardian, Bow Guardian, Salamander, Kasa, Magmaring, Imp, Knocker).
  • Jotunn's Dominion is completely custom content - built from scratch for the server, it contains 10+ new mobs, 5 new maps, 50+ new items, 16 new craftables and more!
    • 2 new challenging maps to farm and the toughest boss yet await you - our new scripted MVP: Jotunn.
    • Custom entrance quest: The Cold Beneath the Flame - a 13-step questline across Malangdo, Yuno, Thor Volcano and the Garden of Time that closes the story The Cursed Coin and The Garden of Time began.
    • Completing the questline unlocks the Time Seal, a permanent warp between the Garden of Time, the lava tube, and Jotunn's realm.
    • Sindri the Coldsmith works the frozen forge in the lava tube and crafts new pieces of gear - he can also re-roll the random options on anything from his forge.
    • There is a weekly hunt offered by the Young Dwarf at the frozen forge after completing this quest.
    • Jotunn Instance will be free until Aug 31 17:00 UTC, half price until Sept 4 00:00 UTC and is integrated into the Speed Run Records NPC.
    • An exclusive costume is awarded to those who defeat Jotunn on or before January 2nd, 00:00 UTC.

General Changes

  • New and improved REC tournament map (larger, less pillars, more polish).
  • Added REC Rewards NPC to re_pub02,76,64 where winners of the tournament will be able to pick up their prize.
  • Cart Termination no longer costs zeny on Battleground maps.
  • Meteor Assault EDP reductions now apply in Battlegrounds as well.
  • Scream/Frost Joke no longer affect team members in Battlegrounds.
  • Fixed Battlegrounds @leader swapping. It should now announce to both teams and transfer properly.
  • Party Queuing in BG has been disabled for now.
  • Status' are no longer dispelled by warps within castles.
  • Added a punching bag in the WoE / GvG testing room (accessed via PvP Rooms NPC at prontera,166,203). Defaults to Emperium (mob id 1288).
  • Added custom inn to Amatsu! Enter it at amatsu,97,148.
  • Added custom inn to Izlude! Enter it at izlude,119,94,.
  • Added @cd all to show all of your active cooldowns at once.
  • Map of the Stars duration and cooldown at level 5 are now 30 minutes.
  • Map of the Stars can now be used in mal_dun02 and on scripted MVP maps.
  • Gloria duration increased from 10/15/20/25/30 → 30/45/60/75/90 seconds.
  • Reverberation can now be cast while performing a song or dance.
  • Marionette Status is now ended when increasing stats using status points.
  • Lowered the level of Brandish Spear used by mobs so that the damage is similar to pre-buff damage.
  • Priest base ASPD for Knuckles is now set to the same as Monks (was unset before and defaulted to a very bad rate).
  • Fixed Green Maiden being impossible to tame.
  • Added Malangdo 2 cards to OCA (Sun Bleached Crab, Sea Lice, Coral Vadon, Hermit Crab, Deep Ocean Oyster, Culvert Hydra, Shining Seaweed).
  • Added Master Storage Pin option to Kafras located in Inns.
  • Guild Dungeon warps should now properly be free if you own any castle.
  • Icarus Wings + Bowman Scarf combo is now usable by Gunslingers.
  • Super Novice soul link gears (headgears, level 4 weapons) are no longer unequipped when changing maps.
  • Platinum Shield description corrected to the actual 15% chance of reflecting magical attacks (not 40%).
  • Ascendant Crown and Coral Wand combo now properly works.
  • Fixed Spiral Pierce skill description to show the correct required level of Spear Mastery (10, not 5).
  • Updated many item descriptions for formatting/consistency/typos. Please let us know if you see any issues in item descriptions, small or large.
  • Macro checks should no longer run on idle players.
  • Macro checks now provide 5 minutes of Life Insurance as well as 10 minutes of Agi/Bless.
  • 99/70 announce fix - names starting with "blue" should now announce correctly.
  • Reminder: The Costume Ghost Ship Captain's Hat stops being awarded for Ghost Ship Captain kills after September 13th, 00:00 UTC.
