@packetfilter

Description: Enables advanced filtering of client-side packets to improve performance, especially during high-load scenarios like WoE.

⚠ Experimental Feature This command is released on a use-at-your-own-risk basis.

  • It may not work perfectly in all situations.
  • If you encounter issues:
    • Use @packetfilter off and report the issue via a support ticket.

Usage

@packetfilter <Type+Options> <Type+Options>...

Each filter is made up of:

  • 1 Filter Type (what you want to hide)
  • 1 or more Options (who/what you want to hide it from)

How It Works

  • First, choose what you want to filter (e.g. Chat = C, Skills = T)
  • Then, choose who to filter it from (e.g. Self = S, Others = O, Guild = G)

Simple Examples

  • Hide [C]hat from other players:

@packetfilter CO

  • Hide skill effects from everyone except yourself:

@packetfilter TPGO

  • Hide [G]round skills (e.g. Storm Gust) from everything:

@packetfilter GSPGCBOHM

  • Hide [C]hat from non-related players, pets, and monsters and blocks Bard/Dancer [M]usic from everything:

@packetfilter COHM MSPGCBOHM

Full Example

Block everything supported (not recommended): @packetfilter CPGCBOHM EPGCBOHM ISPGCBOHM APGCBOHM BSPGCBOHM SGCBOHM TPGCBOHM GSPGCBOHM MSPGCBOHM DPGCBOHM

Tip: If you're unsure, start with small filters and build up. Over-filtering may hide important gameplay information.

Filter Types

Code Description
C Chat (including pet talk)
E Emotions (including monster and pet emotions)
I Item use effects
A Attack animations
B Buff skill animations
S Status effects
T Targeted skill animations
G Ground-based skills (e.g. Storm Gust)
M Music from Bard/Dancer songs
D Direction changes

Filter Options

Code Affects
S Self
P Party members
G Guild members
B Battleground members
C Clan members
O Other players (not included above)
H Homunculus / Pets / Mercenaries
M Monsters

Notes

  • You can combine multiple filter groups in a single command.
  • Improper usage may hide important visual feedback (e.g. skill effects).
  • Use @packetfilter help in-game for quick reference.
