RWC

Competitive PvP. Ready-made builds. Pure teamplay.

RWC is a structured team PvP format where players create fresh event characters, build them inside the RWC lobby, purchase equipment and consumables using event-provided Zeny, and fight other registered teams in a controlled arena.

The system is designed to make competitive matches fast to enter and fair to play, with standardized setup tools, restricted classes, lobby-only preparation, and a dedicated supply economy.

Overview

RWC is built around pre-match team preparation and organized arena battles.

Players begin by creating a completely fresh character, entering the RWC system, choosing an allowed class, setting up their build, purchasing gear and supplies, and joining a party for registration. Once registered, staff can select two valid teams and launch a match between them. During match startup, both teams are re-verified, stripped of active status effects, and warped into opposite sides of the arena.

Team Size

The RWC system is configured with the following team limits:

  • Minimum players allowed: 4
  • Maximum players allowed: 7

These values are set directly in the event configuration.

Character Requirements

To join RWC, players must use a completely fresh character.

Your character must be:

  • On the novice starting map
  • A Novice
  • Base Level 1
  • Job Level 1

Allowed Classes

RWC class selection is handled through the Job Master in the lobby. Available classes are:

  • Lord Knight
  • High Wizard
  • Sniper
  • High Priest
  • Assassin Cross
  • Paladin
  • Scholar
  • Clown / Gypsy
  • Champion
  • Creator
  • Stalker

Important notes:

  • Wizard, Sniper, High Priest, and Champion must be level 85/60 while other classes are 90/60.
  • Teams cannot use repeating classes.

How Registration Works

RWC registration is party-based.

To register:

  1. Form a party with your team.
  2. The party leader speaks to the registration NPC.
  3. The system verifies the party through a party verification function.
  4. If the team passes verification, the party is added to the registration list.

Important notes:

  • Only the party leader can register the team.
  • Only the party leader can unregister the team.
  • Already-registered teams cannot register again unless they unregister first.
  • Teams are re-verified again before a match begins, in case members changed, disconnected, or no longer meet requirements.

Match Start

When an RWC match is started:

  1. Staff select a Blue Team and a Red Team from the registered party list.
  2. Both teams are re-verified.
  3. All active status effects are removed from online party members.
  4. Both teams are removed from the registration queue.
  5. Teams are warped into opposite sides of the arena.

Starting Resources

The RWC configuration currently grants the following starting resources:

  • Starting Zeny: 1,000,000
  • Consumable Budget: 1,000,000

Lobby Services

The RWC lobby is more than just a waiting room. It provides the tools needed to fully prepare a match-ready character.

Job Master

The Job Master lets fresh Novices change into one of the supported RWC classes.

Equipment Dealer

The Equipment Dealer offers a wide range of gear and cards for purchase using Zeny. Categories include:

  • Weapon Cards
  • Armor Cards
  • Garment Cards
  • Shoes Cards
  • Accessory Cards
  • Shield Cards
  • Helm Cards
  • Armor
  • Garment
  • Shoes
  • Accessory
  • Shield
  • Helm 1
  • Helm 2
  • Helm 3
  • Swords
  • Spears
  • Daggers / Katars
  • Knuckles / Maces
  • Axes
  • Bows / Whips / Guitars
  • Books / Staffs

Purchased items are bound to the character. Note: Any attempt to exploit characters or gears gained through RWC is strictly against the rules and is a bannable offense.

RWC Supply Manager

The RWC Supply Manager handles consumable supplies for the event. The supply list includes a large range of PvP essentials such as:

  • Potions
  • Blue Potions
  • Awakening / Berserk / Concentration Potions
  • Traps
  • Arrows and elemental arrows
  • Gemstones
  • Panacea and Green Potions
  • Plant Bottles
  • Marine Sphere Bottles
  • Condensed Potions
  • Poison Bottle
  • Fire Bottle
  • Acid Bottle
  • Speed Potions
  • Cobweb

Each supply item has defined limits and costs, keeping resupply controlled and competitive.

Refine & Repair

The Refine & Repair NPC provides several preparation services:

  • Repairs all equipped gear
  • Fully heals HP/SP
  • Refreshes RWC supplies
  • Safely refines equipped items up to their safe refine level

This helps teams quickly get battle-ready without outside preparation.

Reset NPC

The Reset NPC allows competitors to reset:

  • Skills
  • Stats
  • Both

These services are free for all RWC competitors.

Stylist

The Stylist allows players to customize:

  • Cloth color
  • Hairstyle
  • Hair color

Useful for team identity, cosmetics, or simply getting the look right before battle.

Cart / Falcon / Mount NPC

This NPC restores utility options for classes that require them, including:

  • Cart
  • Falcon
  • Peco / Mount

It checks whether the character has the required skill before applying the matching option.

Plagiarism Master

Rogues and Stalkers with Plagiarism can use the Plagiarism Master to choose from a curated list of skills to copy for the event.

Platinum Skills

A platinum skill NPC is also present in the lobby setup.

Bartender

The lobby includes a bartender offering drinks and event-flavored utility options, including at least a Daily Sample and Midzy's Wine Shots.

Lobby Rules

The RWC lobby map uses strict mapflags to keep the environment controlled. The uploaded mapflag file shows that the lobby disables or restricts:

  • Widescreen shop access
  • RodEx
  • Bank
  • Trade
  • Vending
  • Dropping items
  • Memo
  • Warp / Warp To
  • Branches
  • EXP penalty
  • Teleport
  • Return
  • Ice Wall

Arena Rules

The arena map and lobby are configured with similarly strict rules. This includes:

  • No RodEx
  • No Bank
  • No Trade
  • No Vending
  • No Item Drop
  • No Memo
  • No Warp / Warp To
  • No Branches
  • No EXP penalty
  • No Teleport
  • No Return
  • No Ice Wall

These map settings support a controlled competitive match environment.

Important Notes

  • Teams register as parties, not guilds.
  • Registration is limited by the size of the internal registered party list.
  • Teams that fail re-verification before match start are automatically removed from registration.
  • Match administration appears to be handled manually through staff atcommands such as starting and stopping RWC rounds.
  • The files shown do not include a public automated weekly schedule, so RWC may currently be run manually or on an external schedule not shown here.
